Tips, guidelines and promising practices for virtual group facilitators
THIS WEBINAR IS FULL.
Join provincial Nobody’s Perfect Parenting B.C. Provincial Coordinator Ruby Banga and Manitoba Provincial Coordinator Carmen Paterson-Payne in a conversation about leading and facilitating on-line parent and family support groups. You will learn about the recently developed Nobody's Perfect Program national guidelines for virtual group program facilitation, discover new ways of respectfully engaging parents in on-line groups, experience activities that you can use and share in your work to support families.
The Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program, like most group family support programs, was designed to be offered in-person; however, online platforms provide an opportunity to continue offering programs virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic. To provide guidance to B.C. family support facilitators who want, and can, deliver group programs online, the National Nobody’s Perfect Program office has put together a new set of guidelines to support you.
This introductory conversation will provide an opportunity to learn from colleagues who are leading virtual family support programs, ask questions and gain a better understanding of how to facilitate virtual group support programs.
Workshop Highlights
- Planning for an online group
- Guidelines for Nobody’s Perfect Parenting online groups
- Review of online platforms
- Promising practices, application and other ideas for facilitators
