A deeper exploration of boundary issues in the workplace, drawing from real life examples and scenarios from our work, addressing challenges and barriers to boundary practice in daily life.  

Participants will investigate the realistic consequences of setting boundaries in unboundaried relationships, navigating loss, conflict, and impasses, as well as sharing successes and victories from our practice. 

For participants who've attended previous Boundary Practice workshops, this will be a chance to further understand the power of boundaries and their transformative effect on relationships and selfhood, and to further integrate and implement boundary practice in our working lives.

  • Somatic exercises and boundary practice
  • Applying boundary practice to client work, co-workers and organizations
  • Interactive exercises in partners/small groups

About the Facilitator 
 
Jodie McDonald is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the non-profit sector, working in crisis and suicide intervention, family support, and mental health. She has an MSW specializing in Community Development and is particularly interested in the impact of frontline human service work on the worker, the traits and experiences that draw workers to this field, and how to best support these valuable people in their essential work. Jodie teaches in the Studies in Women and Gender Department at Vancouver Island University, and is also an Integrative Body. 

 

 

Please note that this workshop is not guaranteed to run. We need a minimum number of people enrolled in order to be able to run it. 

The cost of this workshop is per person, and will take place via Zoom. Participants will be emailed the login information.
