This PTIB* approved program provides the skills to design, prepare, and facilitate parenting workshops.

We offer a stimulating blend of conceptual understanding of Adlerian theory and best practice in Parent Education using experiential learning. With a Doctoral and Masters level faculty, we offer a unique opportunity to learn at a high level in an intimate setting. This Certificate, open to both professionals and non-professionals, is a compulsory prerequisite for applicants seeking future Certification as a Certified Parenting Facilitator (CPF).

Prerequisites
• Member of the Adlerian Psychology Association of British Columbia (APABC)
• Completion of an 8-week STEP parenting program 
• Current criminal record check
• Interview with the program director

Training components
•Introduction to Adlerian Psychology (2 credits)
•Introduction to Basic Principles of Adlerian Parenting (1 credit)
•Basic skills in Adult Education (0.5 credit)
•Group Dynamics/Group Facilitation Skills (0.5 credit)

September 23rd, 30th,

October 14th, 21st, 28th,

November 4th, 25th,

December 2nd.
