Feature Presentation
Work Here, Grow Here: Supporting Social Service Workers in their Personal and Professional Pathway
Human Service workers benefit greatly from organizational cultures that support their psychosocial growth, and yet many managers and Executive Directors aren't aware of effective practices to support their frontline staff and the essential work they do.
Creating a growth-oriented workplace fosters more effective and consistent self-care, decreases worker burnout and turnover, and ultimately provides better services to clients. Ms. McDonald will share insights and examples of effective organizational practices to support social service workers, and also offer tips for anyone who is committed to their own personal growth.
About the Presenter
Jodie McDonald (MSW RSW IBP) is a provincially recognized social worker, psychotherapist, facilitator and educator who is sought after for her skillful ability to engage audiences in learning.
