Do you—or would you like to—work with young parents?

The theme of this year’s Alliance for Professionals Serving Young Parents conference is emotional regulation and social-emotional wellness. Workshops will be provided to help practitioners working in young parent programs to further develop their understanding of social emotional development, and help young parents and their children to engage positively in the world.
 
Highlights:

• All day session with Kim Barthel: Becoming a Behavioural Detective: Supporting Young Parents and their Children to Recognize, Express and Regulate Emotions
• Sandwich lunch included and a chance to connect with other Young Parent Program staff
• Afternoon session by Rachel Marchand, Interior Cultural Advisor of the BC Aboriginal Child Care Society:  Truth and Reconciliation:  What it Means to Non-Indigenous ECE Workers
