Divorce and separation are stressful for both parents and children.
This online course is designed to help parents guide their children through the transition and strengthen parent-child relationships.
This course will help parents start difficult conversations with their children about living in two homes, rules and traditions with separated parents, and other new ways of operating. It will also increase parent's confidence about teaching their children to be resilient no matter what problems they may face in the future.
Participants will learn how to teach their children to use the 4 BIG Skills:
- Flexible thinking
- Managed emotions
- Moderate behaviours
- Checking yourself
This course is offered through a partnership with Online Parenting Programs. for families to complete at their own schedule and pace. How it works:
- Register for a course
- You will be emailed instructions on how to access your course (please check your spam and promotions folders for the email). It takes us a couple of business days to set your course up for you. We will not be mailing any physical packages, or instructions.
- Take the course online
- Complete the final exam (if you don’t pass, you can take it again)
- Receive your certificate
